This endorse feature just ... makes me mad. As some of the people above have stated, I do have many skills, and some I get endorsed for, but that's not the point!

Your endorse feature totally degrades the LinkedIn ecossystem, and I am totally confused why you are using it. I mean ... I JUST don't get it.

I have recently been endorsed for CSS by people I don't—quite frankly—even KNOW. It's TOO EASY to endorse someone.

As it happens, I am great at CSS, but that's not the point.

Also, I know that friends of mine have been endorsing me for skills that I DO have, but that I barely can imagine they would KNOW that I have, in any meaningful way.

Furthermore, if someone is "endorsed" for WordPress, what does that mean? That they know how to create a WordPress.com account, or that they can develop WordPress plugins?

I know, I know—the idea is probably that "the wisdom of the crowd" will sort that out, so if you get lots of endorsements for WordPress, then that must mean you're "really good at WordPress."

Balderdash!

Recommendations has always been such a great feature. It takes some EFFORT to recommend someone, and you put your reputation on the line. But endorsements—ugh. I just don't get it.

The worst part is, I feel like I "should" try to get endorsements, because even though it's stupid, it will probably benefit me.
